About Us
Your homeschool journey starts with a strong community! Formerly Homegrown Lilacs (HGL), THRIVE was founded in 2020 by a local parent who had a desire to just do better than the “system”. THRIVE provides Homeschool Enrichment Programs in an environment that helps guide students through the most important years of their development. Social interaction, an engaging environment of diverse age groups, enrichment education, communication growth, and community are at the core of our priorities. We are not a school and we are not a supplement to core curriculum being taught at home. THRIVE brings active, likeminded, and involved homeschool families together each week to enjoy enrichment workshops, educational class topics, field trips, events, social opportunities, and more.

Curriculum & Classes
At THRIVE, we believe that every student who enters our doors has a calling that will change the world. We believe in good decisions, good habits, good character, respect, and freedom. As homeschool parents, we understand the need and desire to teach life skills, career readiness, critical thinking, independent thought, creativeness, socialization, and communication. We have customized a learning environment to help promote these important concepts and support students in finding what inspires them so that they may grow their seeds of potential.
As we work to prepare our students for the future, THRIVE focuses on courses in Entrepreneurship, Careers, Life Skills, Critical Thinking, Leadership, and more.
Students meet for educational enrichment classes, workshops, social Thrive Time, and add-on elective classes one day each week. Families register their students for one specified day. Parents must stay, THRIVE is not a drop off. Homeschooling allows families to truly thrive together, especially at the Thrive Enrichment Program.

Our Community
We know that learning is easier when you have a strong supportive community. As a group, we lead by example, we communicate openly, we enable and inspire, and we collaborate. We encourage growth, enrichment, community, knowledge, love, and respect while learning something new every week. We are a true homeschool community helping inspire the leaders of the future.
Thrive Gives Back!
Thrive has partnered with the Inside Out Club of DuPage to help empower kids to live each day with good character through paired Thrive workshop classes and Inside Out Club community service projects. During each Thrive program year students will give back to the community. Good character means being brave enough to ask questions, showing grit, resilience and determination, allowing others to belong unconditionally, embracing their authentic selves, choosing kindness and more – and to care for themselves, others, animals and the planet.
Why Homeschool?
Homeschool is the freedom to expand the definition of “education” beyond academic learning. Homeschooling creates a bond between parents and children that is so clearly being broken in the traditional school system. Home Education offers a learning environment customized to each student allowing efficient use of time, advanced learning opportunities, dedication to passions, promotes creativity, and helps students find what inspires them so that they can grow their seeds of potential. There has never been a parent that said they wish they had chosen the school system over Homeschool, but there are many families that wish they had chosen Home Education over the school system.
